We have had such a great start to the New Year, with lots of fun and games. January saw us mostly inside with the terrible weather, but that didn’t get us down, we enjoyed singing and dancing with Andrew, music with Angela, baking, and the list goes on.
To keep active, alongside dancing, we also took part in some indoor sports such as bowling all ball. These can be done from a chair if residents are not mobile enough to stand, but still encourages movement and a lot of fun.
We do various creative activities throughout the week. Art has the power to unlock memories and emotions, offering a gentle and meaningful connection for our residents living with Dementia. Through colours, shapes, and expression, creativity becomes a bridge to moments of joy and comfort.
Through art and dance, we unlock joy and freedom—letting every brushstroke and movement be a moment of peace, connection, and pure expression.
As soon as we had some dry days we were out getting fresh air, either with a nice walk, or with our friends from Pedal People.
